Preview Bundesliga: Bremen Vs Bochum

Werder Bremen try to move back into the European places on Saturday when they host Bochum in the Bundesliga at Weserstadion.

Bremen went out of the Europa League on Thursday after a 4-4 draw with Valencia saw them eliminated on away goals. They did, however, defeat Hoffenheim 1-0 last weekend to remain a point back of the top five.

Bochum sit four points above the bottom three after consecutive losses to Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund – both by 4-1 scorelines. Bochum have won just once in their last eight games, although they have five draws in that span.

Bremen manager Thomas Schaaf is without Aaron Hunt due to a back injury, and both Sandro Wagner and Sebastian Boenisch are continuing to rehad from knee surgeries.

For Bochum head man Heiko Herrlich, Rene Renno is expected to miss out after suffering an allergic reaction during the week, and Milos Maric is banned after being sent off last weekend.

Werder Bremen will look to recover after a heartbreaking European exit, and Bochum could be in for a long afternoon.
